Date: Saturday, September 13th, in the Cerritos College Gym
Day/Time: Saturday Weigh-in 7:00 AM to conclusion of heavyweights.
All wrestlers must be in the wrestling room at 7:00 AM.
Wrestlers not making weight on the first scale must
immediately challenge the other scale when they weigh in.
(Note to Coaches: You must present Individual Weight Reduction sheet for each of your wrestlers when
you check in. Any wrestler who does not have a personal weight reduction sheet will be in violation of the Weight Certification rules.)
Wrestling 9:00 AM straight through to conclusion on 6 mats – no breaks. I will run 8 mats if needed!!!
Weights/ Current NCAA weights (NO weight allowance)
Entries: Unlimited entries. Must be on current eligibility roster.
Entry Fee: A team entry fee of $300 will cover the first ten entries. The entry fee for teams with 15 or more wrestlers is $325.
Make checks payable to Cerritos College Wrestling.
Scoring: At weigh-ins each coach will designate one scoring wrestler per weight class. All other wrestlers from that team will be non-scoring. Standard scoring system will be in place with advancement, bonus, and placement points being awarded.
Seeding: Will be done by committee on Friday night at 6:00 PM. Be sure to complete the pre-seeding information sheet and FAX it to Don Garriott at (310) 972-6404.
Team entry sheets must be in by Thursday so that we may do the seeding and have the brackets done in time for the tournament.
Awards: Top three teams Top four individuals
An “Outstanding Wrestler” will be given in both the lower and upper weights.
Trainer: A trainer will be available. Please provide your own training supplies.
Admission: Adults: $5.00 Students: $3.00 Children: 12 and under free
Each team will receive up to three coach and one official trainer passes.
Any additional team passes may be purchased at the student rate.
Concessions: Food concession will be available. We ask that you help us keep the gym floor clean by not bringing food or drink into the gym. Coolers must be kept outside the gym or in your cars.
